Advanced Defensive Handgun

Prior completion of Defensive Handgun class required.
This class builds on the skills learned in our defensive handgun course.
You will begin by learning the legal aspects and responsibilities of carrying a handgun for self defense, self defense shooting and firearm safety. We cover material on handgun selection, holster selection and caliber. You will learn the fundamentals of obtaining a fighting stance and the importance of achieving the proper grip on the handgun. We will address shooter diagnostics and get you hitting the target at the point of aim. You will shoot from contact distance to 100 feet successfully placing effective shoots on target.
This is a one day course and consists of classroom and range time. A minimum of 250 rounds of ammunition will be required for the course
Individuals will be required to bring their own ammunition (no reloads, factory only) and serviceable handgun. A strong side holster is required.

The following items should be brought to class:
1. Safety glasses
2. Hearing protection
3. Brimmed hat
4. Extra magazines or speed loaders
5. Serviceable carbine
6. Ammunition appropriate for the weapon you will be using (no reloads, factory only)
7. Note pad and pen/pencil
